The paper presents the problems of the work market's creation in Poland during the transformation from the State-controlled economy to the private enterprise. In the paper there are described the problems: the short characterization of the notion "the work market"; the description of general law regulations creating the formal scheme of the work market's activity; institutional side of the question that is to say the organization of the employment agencies and also the analysis and the opinion about tendencies on a scale of creation of size and structure of the unemployment and the efficiency of the active forms of the unemployment's neutralization.
