Przedstawiono jakość jako kategorię techniczną i jako kategorię ekonomiczną. Omówiono ekonomiczne i techniczne zależności w badaniach poziomu jakości.

In the first part of his paper the author regarded quality as a technical cathegory which is closely connected with the so-called quality of design. The principal task to be fulfilled within the framework of the presented conception is a continuous and as rigorous as possible elimination of departures from the model of a given product without any additional manufacturing costs (and even their reduction). Next, the author considered quality as an economic category and discussed primarily the links existing between the product's functional value, its manufacturing costs, price and expected profit. The problem was interpreted geometrically taking advantage of the R. Hicks theory of serviceability. Further on, the author discussed how the technical and economic inter-relations affect quality levels. Finally, the author presented a diagram which demonstrated briefly and coherently the existing inter-dependencies in the sphere of quality. (original abstract)
