The quality of environment in Poland in the 1980's has been systematically deteriorating. It is noteworthy that the state of air cleanliness depends not only on domestic sources, but also on pollutions transfered from the neighbouring countries, especially from Czechslovakia and Germany. Poland most of all countries degradates the Baltic sea-water. the necessity of international cooperation in the sphere of environment protection is indisputable. It should refer not only to monitoring, and also to common investment, education and other undertakings. (original abstract)
