Abstrakty

W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w 1992 roku, dotyczących stosunku pracowników do wybranych mechanizmów bieżącego życia politycznego takich jak relacje państwo-obywatel, kontroli społecznej władzy, nomenklatury i dekomunizacji.

The paper presents some results of the empirical studies on the conditioning and transformation of the political and economic consciousness of employees. The studies have shown an increase in the feeling of subjectivity which, with the society, manifests itself mainly in the possibility of expressing freely people's views and opinions. But there is still a conviction that the state abuses its power towards the citizens, which was a common practice of the communist government. The lack of fully shaped mechanisms of social control over the government causes the autonomization of the elite, the groups that in the political practice are not guided by social interest. The activities of the political elite are considered typical propaganda and their behaviour in relation to the communist nomenclature is found to be a negative - not consulted with the society - compromise. The attempts at balancing the period of "Polish People's Republic" by means of the decommunization idea are similar in their character. It is necessary to improve the effectiveness of the government activities, which can be attained by strengthening the position of the executive and controlling authorities. (original abstract)
