Abstrakty

Omówiono metody portfolio jako metody zarządzania strategicznego.

The aim of the article has been a presentation of strategic management methods. Attention has been focused on portfolio methods elaborated by Boston Consulting Group. In this method of taking strategic decisions two variables were made use of. One of them (market growth) is closely related to the environment of an organization. The other is related to an organization itself (relative market share), namely the present system used in an organization and its future, desirable shape. Further on in the article, the following variations of the portfolio of market attractiveness and competition benefits, portfolio of competitiveness and phases of the cycle of product's life. The author has also discussed the possible applications of the methods of strategic management mentioned above. (original abstract)
