Abstrakty

Opracowanie zawiera opis przypadku prywatyzacji Przedsiębiorstwa Instalacji Sanitarnych KPIS "Cracovia", a zwłaszcza analizę i ocenę zmian zachodzących w tym okresie w przedsiębiorstwie. Przedmiotem zainteresowania stało się kluczowe dla tych procesów zjawisko sukcesu, sposób jego rozumienia, możliwości przemian, a także działania podejmowane dla jego osiągnięcia.

The case presented is a result of research done by means of a questionnaire addressed to top managers whose answers were recorded during personal inter-1 views. Attention was focused on activities which led to successful privatization of > the enterprise, one of the first to undergo that process. A wide range of undertakings were embarked on by the managers to adopt to the conditions of the market. The author discussed changes in the organizational structure of the company and in the management procedures, behaviour patterns as well as challenges the managers were confronted with. The author also presented how these changes were perceived by the managers themselves. The aim of the research was the identification, analysis and evaluation of the transformation process of a state-oned enterprise into a private company as well as answer the following questions7 how are the Polish managers coping with the new situation? what entrepreneurial activities do they undertake to achieve success? how is the success perceived by the mangers? The author focused his attention specifically on the following issues: company's profile and history, problems, successes and failures, strategic changes, market activities, organization and management systems, restructuring of resurces, organizational structure, international contacts, managers' personal development.
