Artykuł poświęcony jest problematyce ukazującej pożądane kierunki i możliwe do osiągnięcia rezultaty przemiany osobowości.

The paper deals with the problem of inevitable changes in the personality, necessary for the effective realization of the political system transformation in Poland. Giving the reasons for the transformation into a nonconformist personality, a desirable system of attitudes is presented, reduced to the formation of the attitudes of the following kinds: homo faber, homo fabricator, homo sapienti-potens. Institutions that are going to be the chief leaders in the process of personality transformation are pointed out. Attention is drawn to the different role of work which it should fulfill for the realization of the desirable system of attitudes. The necessity for the functioning of a mechanism of rewarding development trends is clearly stated. The essential role in this respect should be played by the state. At last, the author expresses his anxiety about the fact that the state authorities and some economicts underestimate the importance of the problem.(original abstract)
