Abstrakty

Rynek pracy można określić jako proces wzajemnego oddziaływania podaży i popytu na pracę, jako obszar, na którym podaż i popyt - pozostając we wzajemnej interakcji - prowadzą, w średnim lub dłuższym okresie czasu, do ich zrównoważenia. Autorzy przedstawili konkurencyjny model rynku pracy i jego modyfikacje, cechy charakterystyczne polskiego rynku pracy, bariery jego funkcjonowania w okresie transformacji systemu gospodarczego i strategie działania w celu ich likwidacji.

In the article the authors discussed the theoretical and practical aspects of the functioning of the labour market. In the section of the paper dealing with theory there was discussed a model of a competitive labour market model and its variations as presented in the contemporary microeconomic theories of labour market. Next, on the basis of the Polish labour market's characteristics the author discussed the barriers existing on that market that impede the performance of its basic functions that is ensuring the optimal allocation of labour resources in the economy. The article is concluded with remarks concerning the possible strategies of coping with the above mentioned barriers. (original abstract)
