Omówiono pojęcie opcji i ich rodzaje, a także różne strategie inwestycyjne.

The paper presents basic problem connected with investing on the option market. Special attention is given to the options that are concerned with shares as they are of the utmost importance in stock exchange dealings. Having discussed the basic notions connected with circulation of options, the author presents advantages resulting from investing in them. These advantages include: limited risk, lever effect, low capital contribution, security. Then, the author presents main determinants sharping the prices of options, such as: actual share prices, base price of an option, option duration, variability of prices, interest rate, dividend. Much attention is given to the strategies of investment and security on the option market. The basic kinds of hedging are presented: fixed hedging and delta- -hedging, and combinations on the basic positions in the option trade forming various strategies. The most important ones include: spread, straddle, strangle, strap, and strip strategies. The presented strategies are an introduction to further combinations the number of which is limited only by the inventiveness of investors. The paper may serve as an introduction to the investment practice on the option market. (original abstract)
