Scharakteryzowano turystyczne walory województwa nowosądeckiego, znaczenie Zakopanego w obsłudze ruchu turystycznego: podokręgi turystyczne, wielkość ruchu turystycznego, biura turystyczne, zasoby wód mineralnych, bazę noclegową i gastronomiczną.

The aim of the paper was to present Zakopane in the tourism of the Nowy Sącz district and to show changes in the accomodation and nourishment base resulting from the market economy. The natural and climatic values as well as the touristic development of Zakopane make it possible to practise various forms of sightseeing, qualified touring, mountain climbing, skiing, resting, couring, and spending holidays. However, the analysis of the data from the years 1990-1992 shows that tourism in Zakopane has declined. The shrinking accomodation base and its decreased use are proof of that. The nourishment base (estimates) in the analysed period was on the increase as redards the number of consumption places. Their number increased in open objects and decreased in hotels and lodging houses.(original abstract)
