Przedstawiono specyficzne cechy struktury przestrzenno-branżowej województwa bielskiego. Podstawą analizy są dane z 1992 roku i dotyczą 69 gmin i miast tego województwa. Przeanalizowano także przestrzenny rozkład bezrobocia w okresie III kwartału 1991 i 1993 roku.

The aim of the paper is to present the specific properties of the spatial and branch structure of the Bielsko-Biała district. For that purpose simple statistical tools have been used the range of which has been limited by the available data. First, the spatial structure, the employment ratios, and coefficients of localization are discussed. Then, information on the branch structure, measured by the coefficient of specialization, are given. The paper includes also information on the spatial distribution of unemployment in the Bielsko-Biała district. The presented analysis concerns 69 towns and districts. The period of time covered by the studies is the year 1992 and in the case of unemployment - the years 1991 and 1993.(original abstract)
