Empirical Foundations of Ethics According to Tadeusz Czezowski

Abstrakty
W opracowaniu przedstawiono poglądy Tadeusza Czeżowskiego na empiryczne podstawy etyki.
Methodological and axiological considerations were neither the main nor the basic element of Czezowski's thought. However, they were important to Czezowski himself for two reasons. Investigations into the nature of ethical judgements and principles gave him an opportunity to test some of the methodological claims he put forward. It should also be remembered that Czezowski was of a very subtle ethical sensibility. His theoretical work on ethics grew out of a wealth of axiological experience, as evidenced by biographical data and accounts of people who met Czezowski. The core of his metaethical conception may be summarized as follows: ethical laws are a variety of empirical, hypothetical laws, and like any laws of that kind they I may be justified only by means of reductive reasoning, hi that mode of reasoning primary evaluations are adopted as its premises.
