Abstrakty

Przedstawiono niektóre wyniki badań wykonanych w ramach opracowania "Economic Adjustment Policy at the Sectoral and Subnational Level. A comparative study of Poland, Eastern Germany, Portugal and Britain". Badania dotyczyły zachowań przedsiębiorstw w sferze wymiany międzynarodowej i analizy polityki gospodarczej realizowanej w tym czasie.

The paper presents some results of the ACE research project "Economic Adjustment Policy at the Sectoral and Subnational Level. A Comparative Study of Poland, Eastern Germany Portugal and Britain" (EC grant No. ERB 4012 PL 910356). The study covered Poznań region firms employing 100 or more employees from processing and construction industries. It was carried out in 1993 and encompassed tho period 1989 - i at hatf of 1993. First group of the reported results concerns export/import behaviors of Poznań firms and particulary presents: 1) the state of the firms at the beginning of the market reform, 2) their transition/adjustment strategies, 3) economic results of the firms. The second group of the results concerns opinions of top managers about the adjustment policy of Pofish governemnt, with special stress on the trade policy.(original abstract)
