Przedstawiono proces i szczegółową problematykę rokowań w ramach Rundy Urugwajskiej GATT i wynikające z jej ustaleń zmiany w polityce celnej dla Polski.

The negotiations in the range "Uruguayan - Round" also called "Growth Round" which were begun on 20 September '86 on the session of a ministerial commission in Punta del Este in Uruguay, lasted until 15 September 1993 and finished with a full success and their main positive result was the improvement of the climate in international market with the help of the appreciable reduction of the customs-charges for the industrial goods and stabilisation of the national tariffs of duties and through the necessity to accept, by all partners of Growth Round the same obligations connected with reduction, during 6 years, and external surcharges in agricultural area. The results of negotiations were taken in the Final Act of Uruguay Round in which the governments of 116 countries taking part in negotiations want to set up World Trade Organisation which is to replace the existing GATT.(original abstract)
