Abstrakty

Przedmiotem opracowania jest analiza procesów restrukturyzacji gospodarki polskiej po 1990 roku, ich efektywności i skuteczności w kontekście różnych strategii rozwoju gospodarczego kraju.

In the article the author argues that the criterion of competitiveness should be the determinant of structural transformations in the Polish economy. The author analyzes the shortcomings and strengths of various restructuring mechanisms and observes that in the contemporary world antiprotectionist trends are dominant. According to the author, the stormy changes taking place in the Polish economy and its environment call for something more than efficient markets. The market mechanism should be assisted by an integrated set of policies concerning macroeconomy, trade, privatization, competitiveness as well as international trade and industry. All those interventionist measures should be in accordance with the logic of the market and its specificity. (original abstract)
