Abstrakty
Przedstawiono krótko postać Władysława Mariana Zawadzkiego, przedstawiciela ekonomii matematycznej w Polsce międzywojennej, a następnie omówiono najważniejsze założenia jego fundamentalnej pracy "Teoria produkcji", w której podjął zadanie zbudowania społecznych warunków produkcji.
Władysław Marian Zawadzki (1885-1939) was a representative of mathematical economy in Poland. His first distinguished book titled "Application of Mathematics in Political Economy" (Wilno 1914). Moreover, he researched the theory of production and the results he included in his work "The Theory of Production. An Attempt to Examine the Social Conditions of Production" (Wasaw 1923). According to W. Zawadzki, production means "human activity consisting in inducing changes in the outer world that aim at its adaptation to our needs". Manufactured economic goods and services, contributing to the social product, require proper manufacturing forces, i.e. labour, technology and capital whose combinations may not be free and changes to the established proportions among them may be infinitesimal. This paper includes an analysis of the conditions for the correct production. W. Zawadzki proved that production may take place in a correct way only with precisely specified assumptions, being phenomena composing the base for the economic life. Accordingly, it is possible to isolate only the limited types of the base and corresponding to them the following, equally limited, types of the correct production: the primitive type of production, the production based on constraint, the patriarchal type of production, the production type combining goods and individuals and the collestivistic type of production.(original abstract)
