Autor przedstawił wymagania stawiane kierownikowi na tle analizy procesu zarządzania jako działalności skierownej na rozwiązywanie problemów i procesu informacyjnego. Omówił także problem ról, które powinien pełnić kierownik we współczesnym przedsiębiorstwie, określających równocześnie wiadomości, umiejętności i cechy charakteru kierownika.

Contemporaty manager should play a lot of roles in the enterprise, which determinate simultaneously specific knowledge, skills and features of character he should posses. Taking into consideration the indispensable features for playing definite roles some archetypes (managerial models) are created. The traditional are: the leader, the administrator, the designer and the enterpreneaur. The new archetype is created now: manager - the politician and manager - the creator of system. The necessity of enterprising managers is revealing. Managers ought to possess and improve skills of using experts knowledge. The view is formulated that the creating of managers group representing different types of managers is necessary. (original abstract)
