Abstrakty
Warrant to instrument finansowy zaliczany do instrumentów pochodnych, gdyż jego cena zależy od ceny instrumentu bazowego. W załączniku dołączony został wzór umowy sprzedaży warrantów.
Warrants, as relatively new financial instruments in Poland, adapt very well to the character of the developing market of derived instruments. They do not require to create new market infrastructure and well fit the system of putting capital to profit and the system of clearings which refers to shares. The drawer of warrants is ussualy a financial institution, which has a great status on the market and a suitable security system, which consists of its own capital. Warrants are characterized by more profitable risk asymmetry for a buyer than for the institution which issues them. Relatively low price of warrants causes, that even if a loss happen, it could be treated as a low price of experience. But in case of success of the investor's strategy, the rate of return from the invested capital can be very high, as the derived instruments give the effect of the financial leverage. This work shows the essence of warrants and the way in which they work against the background of the Polish financial market with regard to the earning possibilities. I hope, it will broaden the knowledge of warrants and will help to make right investment decissions. (original abstract)
