Tourism in Poland Under the Conditions of Free Market Economy

Abstrakty
W artykule zawarta jest ogólna charakterystyka reguł rządzących działalnością jednostek obsługi ruchu turystycznego w warunkach gospodarki rynkowej. Autorka przedstawiła zjawisko ruchu turystycznego, jego rozmiar i strukturę w skali globalnej i europejskiej w ostatnich trzech latach. Zanalizowała wydatki na turystykę, liczbę zagranicznych turystów odwiedzających Polskę, ich cele przyjazdów, zagraniczne wyjazdy Polaków oraz cele ich odwiedzin. Jeśli chodzi o turystykę w Polsce zanalizowała ilość turystów, ich cele, strukturę, formy podróży i rodzaje zakwaterowania. W konkluzji zawarła analizę warunków rozwoju turystyki i ekonomicznych skutków sektora turystyki.
The rules governing the activities of tourist traffic service units under the conditions of free market economy are generally characterized. Against that background the phenomenon of the tourist traffic is presented - its size and structure, on a global scale and European scale, in the last three years. Tourist spending, the amount and differentiation of the expenses are analysed. Tourist traffic in Poland is presented, the numbers of foreign tourists arriving in the country and departing from it are given. The structure of the tourist arrivals according to the country of origin, and the purposes of visits to Poland are shown. Analogically, departure foreign traffic of Poles is analysed. The countries they go to, purposes of visits, spending in individual countries are given. As regards touring in Poland, the number of people participating in it, their purposes, demographic structure of the participants, time of travelling, types of lodgings are discussed. The paper ends with the discussion of the conditioning of tourism development and economic effects of the tourist industry. (original abstract)
