Przedstawione rozważania stanowią fragment prowadzonych przez autorkę badań i analiz w zakresie sukcesu przedsiębiorstwa na rynku. Zawierają modele i ich praktyczne zastosowania. Ponadto weryfikację sprawności amerykańskiego systemu kwalifikowania przedsiębiorstw do miana successful.
In the management theory and practice dominates the false opinion that a firm maximising profit is successful. The approach leads to concentration only on optimisting the value of economic and financial measures. The article presents deeper interpretation of the term "success" and it is also an attempt to describe some simple and credible ways of the success measurement. All analysis and considerations are an effect of author's researches in the nature and factors of the success in business. The article consists of five integrated parts. The first one is devoted to criticism of the profit maximisation theorem as a success measure. The second part is the attempt of redefining the term "success", understood as actualisation of strategic goals of the organization. There is a very interesting "model of satisfaction" described in the third one, and modified by author in fourth part. At the end - fifth part presents the simple and very clear ways of ranking the most successful corporations in USA.(original abstract)
