Celem artykułu jest prezentacja polskiego systemu ubezpieczeń społecznych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zasad jego finansowania w latach 1990-1995. Autor przedstawił ogólny zarys organizacyjny systemu, a następnie zanalizował mechanizmy finansowe zachodzące w polskim systemie ubezpieczeń społecznych.

The article "Financing social insurance in Poland from 1990 to 1995" presents the financial system of social insurance in primary years of the economic transformation in Poland. In the first part of the article, the author presents the organization structure of the system. Next, he describes the principles of the public insurance funds. The author also shows the mechanism of subsidizing the social insurance benefits from the national budget and the economic results of that redistribution. (original abstract)
