W celu zidentyfikowania współzależności występujących pomiędzy tymi dwoma rodzajami wskaźników, przeprowadzono porównanie indeksów giełdowych i wskaźników koniunktury gospodarczej w Polsce w latach 1993-1996.

Stock exchange indicators are sensitive instruments of changes occuring in the economic reality. To a large extent they are of leading character. The article analyses stock exchange indexes and business indicators of quantitative and qualitative nature. The following indexes are considered: WIG (Warsaw Stock Exchange Index) and branch indexes of the market of securities. Out of the business indicators, the following ones are analysed: business climate, total production sold and production indicators of the constructing, chemical and food industries. The analysis confirmed the leading character of stock exchange indicators as compared with changes of the compared real volumes in the Polish economy. (original abstract)
