Abstrakty

Przedmiotem artykułu jest zagadnienie rozwoju bankowości inwestycyjnej. Autor omówił przesłanki tworzenia banków inwestycyjnych w Polsce oraz ich rolę w: procesie restrukturyzacji finansowej przedsiębiorstw i banków, stymulowaniu dalszego rozwoju rynku kapitałowego i prywatyzacji oraz promowaniu instytucji kredytu długoterminowego.

Changes in the "worldbanking" are immediately required. The market is shrinking constantly and commercial banks are supposed to develop their offer unless they want to be taken over and disappear from the market. Polish banking system is still being developed. Investment banking however has to be formed from the scratch. We have not had a real investment bank yet. It is due to lack of the law regulations. On the other hand there are some other institutions that deal with the operations which are usually up to investment banks. This is not a sufficient solution therefore some experts suggest establishing financial holdings. Everyone agrees that investment banking is needed in Poland and there are flourishing conditions to develop it. Poland is the biggest market in Central-East Europe. It is seen as a moderate risk country. There are still a lot of companies to be privatised and restructured. There is a gap in the market and it is high time to fill it in... (original abstract)
