Arguments as Regards the Questions of Professional Ethics

Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono pozytywne i negatywne następstwa formalizowania etycznych motywacji pełnienia ról zawodowych i konstruowania kodeksów etycznych. Starano sięrównież odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy możliwa jest jedna, uniwersalna etyka uczonego.
Contemporary regulating suggestions as regards particular professions are most frequently oriented towards constructing the possibly widest sets of norms and rules combining legal, administrative and organisational, custom-related and moral (ethical) valuations. The author is in favour of: a) reduction of a group of professions for which it is recommended (as testified by both tradition and current requirements) to update the sets of certain kind of norms of to create the new ones, b) clear distinction between professional ethical codes and legal or administrative regulations of performing a given job, or the code of good practice for a given professional environment, c) minimising, if possible, the sets of ethical norms for the chosen professions. The article outlines some practical conclusions for the authors of the specific ethical code (provided they regard it as desirable) for e.g. military personnel, scientific-research workers and academic teachers.
