Omówiono warunki społeczno-gospodarcze wsi i rolnictwa oraz agroturystykę jako szansę rozwoju gospodarstwa rolnego i wsi, uzależnioną między innymi od takich czynników, jak rodzina, samorząd terytorialny, stowarzyszenia agroturystyczne oraz inne instytucje wspierające agroturystykę.

Socio-economic changes occurring in the country and in agriculture call for the development of various forms of entrepreneurship and economic activity. One of the forms of economic activity of agricultural households is more and more popular agrotourism. The article describes more important determinants of agrotourism in Poland and particularly the role of family, regional self-government, local community, agrotourist associations and other institutions supporting these activities. It also present the socio-economic conditions of the country and agriculture significant for agrotourism. (short original abstract)
