Abstrakty

Rynek pieniężny w Polsce rozwija się bardzo dynamicznie od 1991 r. W ciągu pięciu lat ukształtowały się trzy segmenty tego rynku: rynek bonów skarbowych, międzybankowy rynek pieniężny oraz rynek krótkoterminowych papierów dłużnych. W kolejnych punktach artykułu omówiono ewolucję poszczególnych segmentów polskiego rynku pieniężnego.

Development of the money market in Poland during the period of 1991-1996 was presented in the paper. Introduction covers the general charactrization of this market. Changes in particular money market segments (i.e. in the Treasury bill market - T-bill market - the interbank money market, and markets for commercial papers as well as certificates of deposit - CDs) are described in succeeding parts of the paper. With regard to the following problems were discussed: sale form, returns on T-bils, demand for T-bils, investors, dealers in the primary market and characteristics of the secondary market. The nature of the interbank money market and establishing of this market in Poland as well as Clearing House operations and the average reserve requirement system and types of interest rates were explained in the part refering to the interbank money market. At the end of the paper the short history of commercial paper and CDs market development is presented.(original abstact)
