W artykule przedstawiono poglądy polskich ekonomistów na istniejącą w Polsce sytuację gospodarczą, przy uwzglednieniu nie tylko aspektów wewnętrznych ale i międzynarodowych.

System transformation initiated on 1 st January, 1990 is based on Leszek Balcerowicz Programme representing mid-term strategy, which aimed at changing ownership patterns and inducing economic growth by means of institutional and structure changes, with a suitable state policy. However, bringing this programme into practice entailed, among others, major unemployment and decrease in house building. After the initial decrease of GNP, since 1992 we witnessed its increase. The increase - according to economists - should occur by means of applying the newest technologies (in order to enhance the value of work), as well as by developing laborious technologies (considering the necessity of reducing unemployment). It should also be of a pro-export nature.(short original abstract)
