Abstrakty

W artykule skoncentrowano rozważania wokół dwóch instrumentów finansowych: faktoringu i forfaitingu. Wskazano cechy wyróżniające współczesny factoring i korzyści wynikające dla przedsiębiorstw z obejmowania umowami factoringu wierzytelności w ramach transakcji handlowych. Omówiono także działalność jednego z największych stowarzyszeń faktoringów Factors Chain International (FCI). Następnie scharakteryzowano rynek transakcji forfaitingowych oraz korzyści stosowania faktoringu i forfaitingu na tle finansowania bieżącej i długoterminowej działalności gospodarczej poprzez kredyty bankowe.

The author presents the most recent information and data regarding factoring and forfaiting - more and more important and well - developed financial instruments on the international market of financial services. The improved cash flow, efficiency and profit - ability derived from factoring and forfaiting services are appreciated in particular by fast - growing and sales - driven companies. As yet these instruments haven't been well - known and popular among polish companies (especially small and medium size), but strong activity in factoring development of international factoring associations, such as Factors Chain International (FCI) and International Factors Group (IFG), has already brought growth of polish banks' commitment to both domestic and international factoring. As regards forfaiting, improvement of international standing of polish banks in future, especially increase of their assets, can surely bring fruits in development of forfaiting arrangements in Poland. This paper contains only the most important information and definitions of factoring and forfaiting, but details one can find in bibliography included in the notes. The author's main objectives were: to introduce multiple profits of using these financial tools and to show in a practical manner calculations of factoring and forfaiting transactions. He hopes these goals have been accomplished successfully. (original abstract)
