Omówiono transformację systemów informacyjnych w przedsiębiorstwie w systemy oparte na technikach komputerowych. Wykorzystując komputery do współpracy, staja się one nierozłącznym elementem w biznesowym zarządzie. Omówiono także pojęcie wirtualnego przedsiębiorstwa.

The transformation of management information systems into the systems based on a computer technique enabling computers to cooperate has become an indispensable element in business management. A remarkable increase in the turnover of the manufactures of that type of systems is a confirmation of the growth of interesets in software for companies. One needs to underline the inconviniences resulting from the application of standard software that "imposes" its own philosophy of work. An alternative solution boils down to ordering software designed a particular company. This is a more expensive solution, however, it allows to meet specific expectations of the company. The concept "virtual" appears more and more often in management. What is a significant element of virtual company is the emphasis they put on an order unlike in traditional companies - on a productive capacity. Tha effects stemming from the organization and philosophy are flexibility, effectiveness, speed and spontaneity. What is more, an additional benefit is a considerable reductions of costs. New technical possibilities imply creation of virtual management entailing new requirements for managers. Managers tasks are limited to creating teams and dirwecting them but only by setting aims acting as trainers. What is of primary impartance in organizations based on modern information technique is people's mentality both superiors and subordinates.
