Abstrakty

Autor skoncentrował swoje rozważania wokół roli przedsiębiorstw ponadnarodowych w procesach globalizacji. Przedstawił ich miejsce w gospodarce światowej i zagadnienie globalizacji procesów gospodarczych. W konkluzji zawarł implikacje dla Polski wynikające ze zmian w polityce i strategii przedsiębiorstw ponadnarodowych.

Social and political changes occurring in the second half of the 1990s have brought about the new phenomena in the world economy. They are manifested in globalisation and integration processes and in a more dynamic trade. The author tries to define the position of multinational enterprises in the development of globalisation. He points out the changes in the strategy of multinational enterprises' activities oriented towards leadership in technological advancement and extended capital-investment operations. This is responsible for the polarisation in the structure of the world economy and reinforces division of the world into the rich and the poor countries. In the final part the author considers the imlications of changes in the policy and strategy of multinational enterprises for Poland. He postulates that Poland should be more involved in the global scientific-technical and production-technological co-operation in which the multinational enterprises still remain the leaders.
