Abstrakty
W artykule omówiono cechy charakterystyczne pracy współczesnego kierownika, jego kompetencje i pełnione role. Omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące modeli wynagradzania kadry kierowniczej w teraźniejszości i przyszłości oraz problemy kształtowania pakietu wynagrodzeń menedżerów.
The purpose of this paper is to support the statement that top managers' compensation has to be distinguished from other managers' one. The author indicates some important factors, like job specification, that have tremendous impacts on such an approach to remuneration. As there are some economic and technological trends - e.g. globalization, development of IT systems, increasing role of knowledge - there are some new trends of top management comptensation that follow them. They are all presented by the author as well as some compensation models are brought up for discussion. Other issues mentioned in the paper concern creating compensation portfolio and determining its particular components, and choosing appropriate performance results measuring instruments which constitute the grounds for mating short-range-term and long-range-term incentives (e.g. connected with the increasing role of severance pay as a results of mergers or acquisitions).
