Referat dotyczy procesu powstawania nowych norm z zakresu zarządzania jakością. Autor przedstawił wersje norm ISO 9001:2000 i ISO 9004:2000, które są obecnie w fazie przygotowawczej, a w przyszłości staną się głównymi narzędziami w zarządzaniu jakością w przedsiębiorstwach przemysłowych.

The article presents the latest versions of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9004:2000 standards which at the turn of our century will be used as the basis for quality management and quality assurance in the industry and other organisations. The last 12 years of experience with ISO 9001 demonstrate that the standard does provide a useful model for most organisations - one that positively contributed to meeting organisational objectives. The author believes that ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 9004-2000 will prove to be even more useful and valuable to the industry than their predecessors. (original abstract)
