Abstrakty

Artykuł ma na celu identyfikację funkcji administracyjnych w miastach, określenie znaczenia funkcji administracyjnych w strukturze gospodarczej miast średnich i dużych oraz ustalenie wpływu zmian tych funkcji na tempo rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego miast. Autor omawia pojęcie funkcji administracyjnych, analizuje stopień wykształcenia sfery administracji i rozwój ludności w miastach.

The aim of this paper is to identify administrative functions in cities and to determine the significance of administrative functions in the economic structure of the cities as well as the influence of changes in these functions on the rate of socio-economic development of these cities. The subject of analysis is 61 selected Polish medium-sized and large cities. These are the so-called cities of administrative promotion (of 1975), old capitals of the provinces (from the time before 1975) and former capitals of districts. The studies cover the years 1974-1996. (short original abstract)
