Celem artykułu jest zbadanie możliwego wpływu integracji rynku na rozmiar i koncentrację firm oraz przedstawienie danych faktycznych dotyczących ewolucji rozmiaru i poziomu koncentracji firm w Unii Europejskiej od połowy lat osiemdziesiątych.

The purpose of the article is to research a possible influence of market integration on the size and concentration of companies. It also presents the data concerning the evolution of size and the level of concentration of companies in the European Union in the period beginning from the middle of the 1980s.(MN)
