Abstrakty

Żaden fundusz inwestycyjny nie może funkcjonować na rynku kapitałowym bez wsparcia innych podmiotów. Sprawne działanie i rozwój tego sektora zapewniają: towarzystwa funduszy inwestycyjnych, depozytariusz, agent transferowy, dystrybutor jednostek uczestnictwa i certyfikatów inwestycyjnych oraz podmioty zarządzające aktywami funduszy. Funkcjonowaniu tych podmiotów, na przykładzie wszystkich funduszy inwestycyjnych występujących w Polsce, poświęcona jest treść artykułu.

The investment funds can not function correctly on the financial market without other institutions. This article aims at approaching knowledge of these entities. These institutions are: investment companies that establish investment funds; depositary (custodian) banks that keep the investment funds assets; transfer agents that lead investors register; distributors that take part in selling units and certificates of investment funds; institutions that mange investment funds assets. The most important are investment company and depositary bank, their existence is regulated by The Act of Investment Founds dated 28th August 1997. The others take part only in functioning of the investment funds market and have an influence on the development of this market. The author describes basis of functioning of these entities by the example of the Polish Financial Market. Moreover, the author presents institutions that existed in January 2002.
