Omówiono organizację podmiotów transportowych w regionie. Przedstawiono infranstrukturę liniową transportu i jej funkcje w organizacji przestrzeni. Ukazano rolę transportu w kształtowaniu nowych układów regionalnych.

Development of socio-economic life is closely connected with how particular systems. The growth of competition, which then determines the creation of particular regional systems. The growth of competition in a market economy imposes new requirements on transportation. It has to cope with new demands in relation to transport, which spatial and structural system undergoes changes. It generates a need to extend linear infrastructure according to the requirements of the Union, which Poland wants to join. Special attention is paid to motorways and express railways. These kinds of investments become a necessity. However, we ought to reckon the fact that new roads and railways considerably influence the existing transport network systems, as well as restructurization of regional systems. The biggest changes are to be expected in existing raw-materials districts and in southern Poland, likewise in border areas, which is marked by the emergence of macroregions. Realisation of these tasks requires legal normalization in land ownership and working up real spatial plans.(original abstract)
