Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie głównych kierunków importu ropy naftowej do Polski na tle importu państw Europy Zachodniej z uwzględnieniem zmian, które zaszły w ostatnich latach. Autor omawia dostawców ropy z poszczególnych kontynentów i regionów, zaznaczając wzrastającą rolę Norwegii, kraju który w przyszłości może być największym eksporterem tego surowca na rynek europejski.

The aim of the paper is to review the directions and volumes of oil supply to Europe in the last couple of years, and to describe the changes in the importation of that raw material to Poland. The first part of the paper presents the volumes of oil imports to West European countries, indicating the main directions of the supply. That structure of imports is meant to show a possible variant of diversification of oil supply to Poland, as well as the similarities between the oil imports of the EU and Poland, which developed after 1989. Part two of the paper is to show rapid changes in the structure of oil suppy to Poland in the last couple of years. The author stresses the rationalization of oil imports, by departing from monopolistic purchases in the U.S.S.R. and the countries formed after its collapse, towards the imports with a more geographically diversified structure. The author ponders over the causes of that process and attempts to show, in short, its effects, those that are advantageous to the country.The author made use of the source materials of the Centre for the Basic Problems of Mineral Raw Materials and Energy Management at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
