Abstrakty

The article refers many possibilities of decreasing the deficit on current account. In the short term they depend more on fiscal then monetary policy while in the long term-mainly on the improvement in the efficiency of economizing resulting from a consistent pro-export policy of our country. The reforms in this area will allow a successive decrease in the difference between savings and investments, and thus saving up more foreign currencies to finance economic growth. It means that for an improvement in deficit on current transfers the instruments of government economic policy will be more efficient than the instruments of monetary authorities. (AŁ)

W artykule przedstawiono rozmiary i obciążenie PKB deficytem obrotów bieżących w drugiej połowie lat dziewięćdziesiątych. Taka nierównowaga w bilansie obrotów bieżących jest niebezpieczna dla gospodarki, z powodu wywołania spadku rezerw walutowych i powiększenia długu zagranicznego.
