Technics Antiques of the District of Przemyśl & Przeworsk
Wzdłuż linii kolejowych, obok podstawowej budowli jaką był dworzec-stacja, wznoszone były, ciekawe ze względu na bogatą formę wystroju, budynki magazynowe, lokomotywownie, wieże wodne i ciśnień, budynki socjalne, mieszkalne i noclegownie, posterunki straży kolejowej, itd. Na trasach przebiegu linii kolejowych występowały ponad to mosty, tunele i wiadukty. Ochroną objęte zostały wszystkie budynki łącznie z zachowanym taborem i urządzeniami technicznymi, takimi jak: semafory, pompy, zwrotnice, itd. Autor przedstawił zinwentaryzowaną grupę chronionych obiektów, budowanych dla potrzeb linii kolejowych.
The numerous groups of objects related to technics are buildings associated with railroads. The construction of railroads in Poland was started early because it happened 9 year afther the first railway in England had been built, which was in 1825. The oldest railroad in the Voivodeship of Przemyśl, this means the railway from Kraków to Lwów, was begin built over the years 1856-1860 by efforts of the Joint-Stock Society named by its management The Galician Railway of Charles-Lewis and maneged by Prince Leon Sapieha. In 1890 the construction of the narrow-guage railway from Przeworsk to Dynów was started. This railroad was built by efforts of landowners from Łopuszka Mała and Bachórzec and Prince Lubomirski and was designed mainly for delivery beets to the sugar factory Przeworsk as well as for carriage of wood, stone and gravel. Later it was also used to service for passenger traffic. Aport from basic structure, which was a train station, along railways were built other structures such as warehouses, roudhouses, water towers and social buildings like for example hospices, flophouses, posts of railway guard and apartment buildings for employees as well. Along railroads such engineers artworks as bridges, viaductsand tunnels could also be seen. Rich forms of interior decorations can also be met in the warehouses, roundhouses and water towers, to build these buildings quite often post and pan was used, too. The water towers and railway posts forms derived from medieval defence architecture were given too. All these buildings including survived rolling stock and technical equipment such as semaphores, pumps, swiches etc. have been coverd by protection. The city of Przemyśl is sorrounded with a double ring of fortress guns coming from the period of the Great War, construction of the guns was started in 1853.
