Cultural Environment and Motorway at the Area of Warsaw Agglomeration

Treść artykułu, to rozważania na temat aspektów budowy autostrady w mieście biorąc pod uwagę ochronę a jednocześnie możliwość eksponowania krajobrazu kulturowego. Zaprezentowano także rezultaty przygotowania opinii dla służb ochrony zabytków z wnioskami dla przygotowujących projekty rozwoju aglomeracji. W opinii autorów, szczególną uwagę należy zwrócić na organizację sieci osadniczej i komunikacyjnej w okresie rozwoju przestrzennego miasta. Autostrada może naruszać te układy, ale umiejętnie poprowadzona może je też odpowiednio wyeksponować i wykorzystać.
The authors present their thoughts regarding to poisson effects of motorway in the town and the same way to possitive aspects of its execution also for cultural landscape. They present the results of opinion prepared for the services for the monuments protection and some suggestions for planners designing the development of agglomeration. According to the authors it is particulary essential to focus the attention on organization of settlement and transport network. The motorway can disturb this system, but competently passed can use it. Assessing the level of collision between motorway and cultural values at the area of the agglomeration the focus should be drawn not only on negative aspects (noise, car exhaust, changes in cultural landscape), but possitive events like possibility of better exhibition of antique complexes, possibility of better access to antique complexes and to arrange cultural and urban landscape in the sectors where it is done spontaneously as well.
