Autorka charakteryzuje bankowość elektroniczną ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem bankowości internetowej. Dokonuje przeglądu polskich rozwiązań w zakresie bankowości internetowej na przykładzie czterech banków: Pekao SA, WBK SA, BPH SA oraz PPABank SA.

The paper presents an Internet banking against a background of different kinds of electronic banking. It shows the potential possibilities of using the Internet network in banking depending on the advanced technology level and long-term strategy of the bank. The paper enlists the profits arising from Internet banking both for the clients and the banks. This is the background on which the review of the Polish solutions is presented. The author describes Internet services provided by four Polish bank-leaders in this domain. The range and the usefulness of the bank services available through the Internet are compared in this paper. (original abstract)
