Autor prezentuje stosunki Unii Europejskiej z jednym z najważniejszych latynoamerykańskich ugrupowań integracyjnych: MERCOSUR. Ugrupowanie to zostało utworzone w 1991 roku, a jego członkami są Argentyna, Brazylia, Paragwaj i Urugwaj. Chile i Boliwia uzyskały status członków stowarzyszonych, co jest pierwszym krokiem ku pełnej integracji.

The author presents the relations between the European Union and one of the most important integrational organizations in Latin America - MERCOSUR. The organization was established in 1991; its member countries are Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. Chile and Bolivia got the status of associated members, which was the first step towards full integration.(MN)
