Abstrakty

W artykule przedstawiono empiryczną analizę wspólczesnych wahań koniunkturalnych, występujących w gospodarce o trwałych zasadach rynkowych (Niemcy) oraz w gospodarce okresu transformacji (Polska). Analiza obejmuje miesięczne szeregi wartości produkcji sprzedanej przemysłu w cenach stałych. Zakres czasowy to lata 1968-1999 dla gospodarki Niemiec oraz 1990-1999 dla Polski.

Fluctuations observed in the post-socialist economies in Eastern Europe are shaped by different institutional and social conditions than those prevailing in the developed market economies of Western Europe. Nevertheless, the mechanism of business cycles and their morphological features may be quite similar, and the methods employed in an empirical analysis may be the same. This study compares cyclical developments in the economies of Poland and Germany, as reflected by the industrial production index. (original abstract)
