Abstrakty
Augustus Herman Francke (1663-1727) was the author of so-called Hallean Pietism, which drew, through Philipp Jacob Spener, from the fundamental motives of the Reformation. He understood the Reformation as the inner rebirth of man and as the transformation of basic communities in which an individual existed. That was connected with the conception of active Christianity (Tatchristentum), which should be realized in this world (Diesseits) rather than in the hereafter (Jenseits). Francke shows the stages of the road that leads to the fulfilment of that goal and the tasks of the educators who are treated as the chosen instruments of God. (original abstract)
