W artykule omówiono zagadnienie "niedojrzałości" społecznej wobec kulturowych wyzwań, jako wspólny temat myślowy Stanisława Brzozowskiego oraz Witolda Gombrowicza. Przedstawiono pozytywny i negatywny sens tego zjawiska.

The thought of Stanisław Brzozowski and Witold Gombrowicz converges on the criticism of the shortcomings of Polish society and results in showing national immaturity. For both of them it was a crucial issue and the starting point for formulating new objectives for Poland. The two writers and thinkers go beyond the usual journalistic standard of ardent discussion in Poland on the situation and features of "national character" in order to enter the sphere of philosophical antrophology and philosophy of culture. For immaturity is the lack of wisdom, which is a constant subject of philosophizing: an issue that concerns the norms of that which is, among philosophical themes, defined as the "problem of subjectivity".
