Abstrakty

Autorka wyjaśnia pojęcie lobbingu oraz przedstawia jego powstanie i rozwój w Unii Europejskiej. Charakteryzując cechy lobbingu w UE podkreśla jego indywidualny charakter spowodowany ponadnarodowością instytucji unijnych. Zaproponowano klasyfikację organizacji zajmujących się tego typu działalnością, ze względu na nastawienie na zysk. Ukazano również udział grup nacisku w procesie podejmowania decyzji w Brukseli.

The European Union has a specific character and is in many respects similar to a federal state. Lobbying at the European Communities' level has existed since the establishment of the Communities themselves, and pressure groups have made an important contribution to their development by becoming actively involved in dialogue between and among institutions. The article presents the genesis, development and main features of lobbying at the European Union level and the participation of pressure groups in decision-making process in Brussels.
