Abstrakty

W artykule zaprezentowano stan i kierunki napływu kapitału zagranicznego do polskiej gospodarki. Przyjmuje on formę kredytów, bezzwrotnej pomocy finansowej i ukierunkowanych inwestycji czynionych przez zagraniczne firmy.

The growth of every economy depends mainly of its accumulative and adaptational capacities. In Poland the rates of accumulation and investment are still low and do not ensure permanent and rapid growth of the economy. The actions taken by the government aim at the acceleration of the economic development and diminution of the gap between Poland and Western Europe. The effectiveness of these actions is determined by the inflow of capital from abroad, which stimulates the development of the economy and accelerates the modernization of its structure. The effects would be: an increase in the competitiveness of production, expansion of export, creation of new jobs, and introduction of new technologies, which means the modernization of production. However, the inflow of foreign capital is insufficient and concerns only few branches of the economy. In the paper the author presents the state and the directions of foreign capital inflow to the Polish economy, which takes the form of credits, unreturnable financial aid and direct investments made by foreign companies.
