Abstrakty

Artykuł zawiera przedstawie wyników badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w latach 1994-1995 wśród studentów I roku w trzech uczelniach wyższych w Białymstoku: Wyższej Szkole Finansów i Zarządzania, Akademii Medycznej i Politechnice Białostockiej. Badania dotyczyły motywów studiowania, zadowolenia ze studiów, oceny zajęć dydaktycznych, problemów adaptacyjnych, potrzeb z zakresu poszerzenia wiedzy i kwalifikacji, form spędzania wolnego czasu oraz perspektyw otrzymania pracy.

The main aim of the research was the recognition of the freshman year students' opinions and attitudes set against the changes undergoing in Polish universities and colleges, and their surroundings. Since the rapid development of private educational system is one of the most important symptoms of these changes, our research also included private school students (University of Finance and Management in Białystok), and two public schools in this town: Medical Academy and Bialystok Polytechnic. Auditorial survey was the basic research technique; 609 students altogether responded. The subjects of the research analysed in 1995 were: the road to the studies (using private tutorials), motivation to study, satisfaction from studying, adaptations problems, broadening knowledge and qualifications' needs, ways of spending spare time, and assessment of the future with career perspectives especially.
