Artykuł poświęcony jest warunkom skuteczności przepływów informacji. Autorka przedstawiła sposoby definiowania pojęcia informacji oraz warunki jakie musi spełniać aby jej przepływ był skuteczny.
The author of this article sees the main reason of differentiation of social world in the specificity of the flow of information. Creation of efficient channels of information circulation actually causes its free flow, but this is not a sufficient condition to make this transfer efficient. On the other hand, globalisation processes are only possible thanks to the efficient flow of information. For communication to be efficient it is necessary that the transfer of information from the sender to the recipient be as adequate as possible (the so called fulfilling of the intention of communication act). Definition of the concept which is the key one for this problem is a necessary condition for carrying out research of this problem. The author using an analogy to biological sciences (genetics) defines the concept of information and gives its narrow definition concerning the socio-cultural sphere and also makes differentiation between the qualitative and quantitative characterisation of this concept. Since the author of the article observes that the problem of efficient communication also concern transfer of this information which is not intended to be sent (e.g. nonverbal transfer) or its reception (e.g. advertisement) that is why she pays special attention to defining of such information units which are transferred from the sender to the recipient unintentionally with the participation of the consciousness (the so called memes).
