Zdaniem autora trzeba zwrócić uwagę specjalistów i całego społeczeństwa na ograniczenia suwerenności państwa związane z przystąpieniem Polski do Unii Europejskiej. Uważa on również, że należy opracować strategię uczestnictwa umożliwiającą uzyskanie trwałej rekompensaty z tytułu tych ograniczeń.

Process of the UE enlargement revived a discussion on the influence of integration on a state sovereignty. Serious discrepancies in opinions require a thorough analysis of dependencies of economic integration and a state sovereignty. International law definition determines territorial and personal jurisdiction. The first denotes a state exclusive administration of its territory, the second - a state exclusive authority over its citizens. Sovereignty denotes also a state right to exclusively decide on its internal and external relations. The article elaborates on the above mentioned issues. (original abstract)
